Chris Odi is an alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt as well as the Times Journalism Institute, Iganmu, Lagos. He started his working career as a teacher of English before crossing over to the main stream of the Bayelsa State Civil Service. He rose to the position of Desk Editor at the Ministry of Information and Orientation, from where he retired as the Director of Information. The multiple award-winning sports writer has also worked as editor of some local tabloids in Bayelsa State.
